While selecting your support staff, it is important that you look beyond their professional qualifications and assess their attitude towards work. Visit offices of your mentors and peers to understand what dental parts they use on a regular basis and which vendors are they associated with. While negotiating with an equipment manufacturer or dealer, make sure you consider maintenance as a crucial factor of your deal.  

3. How you Treat your Patients
No matter how skilled you are as a dentist, it is important to remember that the treatment of any patient begins from the point he or she enters your office. It is important for you to set strict rules about how each patient is welcomed into your clinic. The ambiance of your waiting area must offer a positive feeling to all those who spend time there.

Setting systems between yourself and the members of your staff with respect to retaining patients, helping those who are upset and answering all their questions can truly help set a positive impression.

In addition to investing in the best and most modern equipment for your office, it is also beneficial to invest in software that allows you to carry on a number of operational tasks with great ease.
